Makeup around the city....

Hello everyone!

It's been such a busy week in the makeup world! First stop, Halls on the Country Club Plaza. I'd like to thank Patsy at Darphin for putting on yet another spectacular national color event. Your hard work and dedication has been truly inspiring. Also, I'd like to thank all the wonderful women who came to the event. You're all beautiful in so many ways.

The Truman Fashion For a Cause went off without a hitch thanks to Corinne McCanse and hundreds of other's who made it happen. The fashion show was to benefit women's health programs. I was proud to be backstage all day making up the models for the fashion show. The focus was on gorgeous, pouty lips and, wow, it looked great on the stage! Pics from Tom Foley Photography soon to come.

Tuesday was the big photo shoot for Kansas City's local wedding magazine, Perfect Wedding Guide. Be sure to look for the next guide coming out. In the middle, there will be a 12 page spread of the most beautiful gowns the city has to offer. AND of course, makeup by Deanna Valizan. ;)

What's coming up......
Ever think about becoming a makeup artist? The style gallery will be hosting a series of workshops to train you on makeup application and how-to's on getting into the industry. And, you guessed it, I'll be the instructor. Here is the link for more information.

Tip of the week for brides....
Hello my lovely brides. You're wedding day is the one day when sunscreen is not your friend. Avoid the urge to wear anything that contains even a small amount of SPF. SPF reflects poorly in flash photography.

Thanks ladies!
